SANTA MONICA. This unique complex, housed in a historic train depot, is home to the Santa Monica Museum of Art, not to mention numerous art galleries, shops, and a café. You’ll find plenty to occupy you, probably for the better part of the day. The museum exhibits works by emerging and established contemporary artists, and there are usually two shows at any given time, including a room-sized multi-media installation. When you need a break, know that the café sells glasses of wine and gourmet sandwiches and salads.
